ENJOY AND DISCOVERY THE BIRDWATCHING IN GUAYABETAL - MONTERREDONDO
Morning (4:30am).
We will depart to Guayabetal – Monterredondo at the 4:30am. This incredible place is located in the municipality of Guayabetal to only one hour and half (70km) away from Bogota. Located at an altitude of between 1700- 3000m.s.n.m. in Eastern Andes. Monterredondo has relics of Andean cloud forest with a high wealth of species of birds and other species of animals, for that reason it is an area of interest for the conservation of the birds of Colombia.
In our Birding trip, we will observe the endemic Cundinamarca Antpitta (This species is very difficult to observe, but with lucky is posible). Also the species Brown-breasted Parakeet, Gorgeted Wood-Quails, Highland Tinamou, Green-bellied Hummingbird, Violet-fronted Brilliant, Crested Spinetail, Ochre-breasted Brush-Finch. In trees of Erythrina when are flowering (Mainly between December and March) is very easy to observe Glittering-throated Emerald and Other hummingbirds. The species Cliff Flycatcher occurs around the bridge just after the tunnel.
Endemic birds: Cundinamarca Antpitta, Brown-breasted Parakeet, East Andean Antbird.
Near Endemic birds: Scrub Tanager.

We will stop for a moment to have lunch on the way. Then we will continue with the Birding in Guayabetal – Monterredondo area.
